UFCC conducted a Training of Trainers (ToT) programme aimed at equipping participants with the knowledge and skills required to strengthen the operations and sustainability of Member Groups (MGs) under the Maul Geumgo model.

During the training, participants were taken through the following key areas:

• Principles of Maul Geumgo (MG): Understanding the philosophy, values, governance structure, and savings-led community development model that underpins the Maul Geumgo movement.
• Financial Risk Management: Identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial risks affecting Member Groups, including credit, liquidity, operational, and governance risks.
• Lending Policies and Procedures: Best practices in loan appraisal, approval, disbursement, monitoring, recovery, and portfolio management to ensure responsible and sustainable lending.
• Digital Finance: Introduction to UFCC's digital financial platforms and technologies, including the MG Core Banking System, USSD services, mobile applications, online member portal, and other digital solutions that enhance service delivery and financial inclusion.

The ToT programme prepared participants to cascade the acquired knowledge to other MG leaders and members, thereby promoting standardized operations, improved governance, sound financial management, and increased adoption of digital financial services across the Maul Geumgo network.
