UFCC manages a Central Finance Facility (CFF). This is a pool by members and for on-lending to members of UFCC to address temporary liquidity challenges and provide other financial investment opportunities as provided for in the financial cooperatives regulations.
Like all other financial institutions, Community Credit Cooperatives are bound to experience low liquidity at a certain time either due to high savings withdraws, high demand for loans. As a result, they need to have a ready source to address the temporary liquidity challenges. Our CFF is steadily growing to match this need.
In case of excess liquidity with the CFF, we always explore possible low risk investment opportunties to ensure that we give value to our members
